Pathways Program

The Pathways Program is a transitional employment program designed to decrease participants’ involvement in the criminal justice system and improve their employment, education, and training outcomes.

ONSE Mission

The mission of the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement is to build partnerships and implement strategies that reduce gun-related violence in the District. ONSE fulfills this mission by coordinating the District’s gun violence prevention and intervention initiatives, using both public health and public safety tools, and by focusing on identifying and engaging with those most likely to be involved in gun violence, providing them with an alternative to crime.

ONSE Holds the Commencement of the 20th Pathways Program Cohort

(Washington, DC) – On Friday June 20th, the Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagement (ONSE) celebrated the promotion of 22 Pathways Program Ambassadors from its 20th Pathways Cohort with a ceremony at Capitol Turnaround in Ward 6. The Ambassadors join nearly 560 alumni who’ve completed this nonclinical cognitive behavioral transformation (CBT) program designed to provide participants with an alternative to violence.
