The ONSE Community Based Crime Reduction (CBCR) Program is a grant-funded program made possible through the District of Columbia Office of Victim Services and Justice Grants and the Bureau of Justice Administration.
In Summer of 2020, ONSE launched the Community Response Team (CRT), which is focused on strengthening placed-based services for communities impacted by violent crime. The CRT is responsible for addressing community-based challenges within the District neighborhoods.
Aims to decrease involvement in the criminal justice system and improve employment, education and training outcomes.
The Office of Neighborhood Safety and Engagment's Restorative Justice program is responsible for embedding RJ principles and services into the agency's core programs - Pathways, Family and Survivor Support, Violence Intervention and the ONSE Leadership Academy.
This team provides attendance monitoring and behavioral supports and interventions.
