The Pathways Program is a transitional employment program designed to decrease participants’ involvement in the criminal justice system and improve their employment, education, and training outcomes.

ONSE contracts with three community-based organizations that cover priority communities in Wards 1-5, Wards 6-7 and Ward 8.

The Family and Survivor Support (FSS) division, formerly known as Community Stabilization Protocol, is the District’s response to community violence.

The ONSE Leadership Academy (OLA) is a school-based pilot initiative launched in Fall of 2019 in partnership with Anacostia High School and the Department of Employment Services’ Year-Round Youth Program.

The ONSE is administering an intentional investment in and for the community through a funding opportunity, with the knowledge that community entities can often offer relatable solutions to prevent gun violence.
